This graduate student research conference is intended to highlight the innovative work of PhD and masters students working in the social sciences, particularly those who work in the fields of sociology and legal studies.
The conference will focus on four key substantive areas: social inequality, work, health and technology, interpretive sociology and theory, and crime, deviance, and legal studies. Students outside the Department of Sociology and Legal Studies with research areas related to the session topics are also encouraged to submit an abstract and attend. Social science research in Canada is quickly evolving in order to understand ongoing challenge, resistance, and transformation.
